Seventh Jobs is an independent job board that gathers open positions at Seventh-day Adventist schools, universities, hospitals, conferences, churches, publishing houses and ministries across the United States into one searchable place.
It is free for job seekers, needs no account, and every application goes straight to the employer. Employers post directly or have their public careers pages read once a day, so the board reflects what is actually open.

Why does Seventh Jobs exist?
The Seventh-day Adventist Church runs one of the largest Protestant school systems and healthcare networks in the world. In the United States alone that means hundreds of employers: elementary schools and academies, colleges and universities, hospitals and clinics, local conferences and union offices, churches, publishing houses, media and other ministries. Each one hires on its own. The education system has its own board, which covers teaching jobs but not healthcare, ministry or office roles. Conferences and unions post openings on their human-resources pages, sometimes as a PDF or an “email the secretary” note. Each health system runs a separate careers portal. General job sites mix the few real openings in with thousands of unrelated results.
So a teacher looking for an academy opening, a nurse who wants to work for a mission-driven hospital, or a pastor open to a call in another conference has had to check dozens of sites one by one and still miss postings. Smaller schools and ministries, meanwhile, struggle to reach candidates beyond their own constituency. Seventh Jobs exists to close that gap: one searchable board for jobs at Adventist organizations, with the filters this work needs (state, distance, remote, field, pay, whether church membership is required) and alerts when something new opens.
How does it help job seekers?
You search once, across every Adventist employer we know of, with filters built for this kind of work, and you hear about new openings by email instead of re-checking dozens of sites.
- One search instead of dozens. Listings from employers across the country, in every field, in one list. Browse all jobs.
- Filters that fit this work. Field, state, distance from a ZIP code, remote or on-site, full-time or part-time, pay, experience, education, language, visa sponsorship, and whether church membership is required.
- Email job alerts. Save any search and get new matches daily or weekly. Unsubscribe any time.
- Nothing between you and the employer. Apply on the employer's own site or by email. We don't collect applications or résumés.
- Save jobs without an account. Saved jobs stay in your browser, and you can email yourself the list.
- Pages for the way people search. Jobs by field, by state, remote jobs, and jobs for Sabbath keepers.
How does it help employers?
Your opening reaches people who are specifically looking for work at Adventist institutions, in a place they already check, with structured data that gets it into Google for Jobs and other search engines.
- Reach candidates who share your mission. The audience is people looking specifically for work at Adventist schools, hospitals, conferences and ministries, not a general job site where your posting is one of millions.
- Post in minutes. Sign in with your work email, fill in one form, and publish as a single listing or subscribe for unlimited postings. See pricing.
- Already listed? If we found your openings on your careers page, claim your organization's profile for free to edit them, add new ones, and see views and apply clicks. Or ask us to remove them.
- Verified employers. A person on our team reviews each new employer account before its listings go public, and verified employers carry a badge. What the check covers, and what it doesn't.
- Search-engine reach. Every listing is published with structured data for Google for Jobs and other search engines, and new listings are submitted for indexing the same day.

Where do the listings come from, and how are they checked?
Employers post directly, and our crawler, SeventhJobsBot, reads the public careers pages of Adventist employers once a day and lists what they publish, each with a link to the original posting. New employers it finds are reviewed by a person before anything appears. Listings close when the employer's page closes them, when a deadline passes, or after 60 days unless renewed, so the board stays current rather than full of stale postings.
What does “Verified employer” mean?
Before a new employer's listings go public, a person on our team reviews the organization. We look at whether the account owner signs in with an email address at the organization's own website (or we confirm the connection another way), whether the organization appears in the Adventist Yearbook or is otherwise clearly an Adventist institution, and whether its name is imitating another organization. When that review is done, the organization is marked “Verified employer”.
That is all the badge says: we confirmed who the organization is and how to reach it. We don't verify individual listings, pay, hiring practices, accreditation or licensing, and the badge is not an endorsement by us or by any church body, or a promise of any job. Employers we found on public careers pages and that nobody has claimed yet carry no badge.
How do promoted listings work?
Employers can pay to promote a live listing for 7, 14 or 30 days. A promoted listing is labeled “Promoted”, appears in the Promoted jobs section on the home page, and is shown first in the job searches it matches (up to three at a time, rotating every hour). Everything below them is in the normal order. Promotion buys placement only: it doesn't change a listing's details or guarantee views, applicants or hires. Details are in the terms.
Who runs Seventh Jobs?
Seventh Jobs is a small, independent project started in 2026.
Seventh Jobs is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. “Adventist” and “Seventh-day Adventist” are used here only to describe the employers whose jobs appear on the site. The site is funded by what employers pay for listings, plans and promoted placements; anything shown as advertising is labeled as an advertisement. It does not sell personal information (see the privacy policy and terms).

Frequently asked questions
Is there a job board for all Seventh-day Adventist jobs in one place?
Yes. Seventh Jobs (seventhjobs.com) lists openings from Adventist schools and academies, colleges and universities, hospitals and health systems, local conferences and unions, churches, publishing houses and ministries across the United States in one searchable place, updated daily, with email alerts for new matches.
Is Seventh Jobs free for job seekers?
Yes. Searching, reading listings, saving jobs and email job alerts are free, and no account is needed. Applications go directly to the employer, never through us.
Is Seventh Jobs an official Seventh-day Adventist Church website?
No. Seventh Jobs is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists or any conference, union or institution. It lists jobs from Adventist employers; the employers themselves do the hiring.
Do you have to be a Seventh-day Adventist to work at an Adventist hospital, school or conference?
It depends on the employer and the role. Adventist hospitals and health systems generally hire people of any faith. Conferences and schools are religiously qualified employers that may prefer church members, and pastoral, teaching and most denominational positions require membership. Each listing on Seventh Jobs shows whether membership is required, preferred or not stated, and you can filter on it.
Can a non-Adventist teach at an Adventist school?
Sometimes. A denominational teaching certificate, which most conference-run schools require for full-time teachers, is issued only to church members, so most K-12 and academy teaching jobs are for Adventists. Some schools hire non-members for specific subjects, aides, coaching or support roles. The listing says what the school requires.
How are Adventist teachers and pastors hired and paid?
Teachers in conference schools and pastors are employed by the local conference, not by the school or congregation; a pastor receives a "call" from a conference. Pay follows the denomination’s remuneration scale, set as a percentage of a wage factor and adjusted by the union and conference. Where an employer states pay, the listing shows it, and you can filter by pay.
Are the jobs Sabbath-friendly?
Every employer on the site is a Seventh-day Adventist organization, so workplaces are built around the seventh-day Sabbath, from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Hospitals keep only essential patient care running during those hours, so some healthcare roles include Sabbath shifts; the listing says so when the employer does.
How does Seventh Jobs find the listings?
Two ways. Employers post directly and manage their own listings. We also read the public careers pages of Adventist employers every day and list what they publish, with a link back to the original posting; a person reviews each new employer before it appears. Any employer can claim its profile or ask for its listings to be removed.
How do I get notified about new Adventist jobs?
Run any search on the jobs page, for example your field and state, and enter your email under "Get new jobs by email". You will receive new matches daily or weekly, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
How much does it cost to post a job?
A single listing is $99 for 60 days. Institutions that hire often can subscribe for unlimited listings at $249 per month or $2490 per year. Claiming an employer profile and managing listings we collected from your careers page is free.
