SeventhJobsBot collects job postings from the public careers pages of Seventh-day Adventist schools, hospitals, conferences and ministries so job seekers can find them in one place. Every listing links back to the employer's own page, and applications always go to the employer.
How it behaves
- It identifies itself as
SeventhJobsBot/1.0 (+https://seventhjobs.com/bot). - It follows robots.txt. To block it, add
User-agent: SeventhJobsBotwithDisallow: /. - It makes one request at a time to a site, at least a second apart, and visits once a day.
- Daily, it reads careers and job pages of employers already on Seventh Jobs (and their robots.txt).
- Weekly, it also reads pages it found by searching the web for Adventist employers, to suggest new ones; a person reviews every suggestion before anything is published.
