Accessibility

Last updated 5 October 2026

Seventh Jobs should work for everyone who is looking for a job: with a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier or browser zoom, voice control, or a phone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, and we treat a barrier you report as a bug to fix.

What we do

  • Our pages use standard headings, landmarks, labelled form fields, visible keyboard focus and links and buttons that can be reached and used without a mouse. Text sizes and colors are meant to work in both the light and the dark appearance, and in a zoomed or narrow window.
  • Our automated test suite runs an accessibility checker (axe-core, WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 level A and AA rules) over the public pages, the employer pages and the admin pages, and a serious or critical finding fails the build. Automated checks catch only part of what matters, which is why we ask you to tell us what they miss.
  • We don't use an accessibility “overlay” widget; the fixes belong in the pages themselves.

What we can't fully control

  • Job listings. Employers write their own listings, and many applications continue on the employer's own site or by email. We can't change those pages, but we'll pass on a barrier you tell us about, and we'll help you find another way to apply.
  • Other companies' parts of a page. The bot check on the sign-in and report forms, Stripe's payment pages and, if we turn them on, ads are run by other companies; their accessibility is theirs to maintain.
  • PDF and image attachments. A listing may link to a document we didn't make, which may not be accessible.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on Seventh Jobs is hard or impossible to use, email hello@seventhjobs.com with the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use if you know it. You don't need to explain a disability. We'll reply within 5 business days, tell you what we found and what we'll do, and if you need the information in another way (for example, a listing read out or sent as plain text) we'll help with that first. If you aren't satisfied with our answer, reply and say so and we'll look again.
